Are Summer Picnic Tables the original folding wine table?
Yes! We conceptualised and designed the original folding wine picnic table in 2014 and since then have sold more than 90,000 across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Our portable picnic tables have brought adventure and ease to so many amazing customers. So, of course, there are copies on the market, but none of them are the original version.
Our tables are 100% certified Australian Made and our business is 100% Australian owned. We use the highest quality materials from the wood to the hinges to the finish. In fact, our tables are twice varnished to help to protect the timber and extend the life of your table. And when you purchase an original Summer Picnic Table you also get our 100% support. We’re here to answer your questions, local and on the ground. At the end of the day, if you’re looking for the best quality table, it’s got to be a Summer Picnic Table.
Are the Summer Picnic Tables range Australian made?
Yes! We are proud to be a certified Australian Made manufacturer. We make each of the tables in our range right here at our Gold Coast factory, from the original design to packaging for shipping. When you buy Australian made, you’re buying authentic, premium-quality products that originate right here – so they’re made to demanding Australian standards, and they’re supporting our own local economy.
How long will it take for my order to be shipped?
For stock Summer Picnic Tables:
During non-peak times of the year, we ship table orders (excluding Design Your Own) three to five days business days of your order being received.
During peak times September – February, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc. we need longer to make and ship your products, so please allow up to TEN business days of your order being received until it is dispatched.
If you need your table for a specific date, please add this to the notes section of your order and we will do all we can to get it made in time for you. Always feel free to call if you need to confirm this.
For Design Your Own personally engraved tables:
Because your DYO table is made to order, it takes us a little longer to ship them out to you.
Your DYO table usually takes around five business days from order to shipping, but during peak times September – February, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc. we need longer to make and ship your special custom table so please allow up to TWELVE business days of your order being received until it is dispatched. Please be assured we always do our best to complete your order as quickly as possible.
If you need your table for a specific date, please add this to the notes section of your order and we will do all we can to get it made in time for you. Always feel free to call if you need to confirm this.
How will my order be shipped?
Via flat rate standard shipping
We offer a flat shipping rate of $15 to all of our retail customers Australia wide. Your order will arrive via Australia Post, Fastway or Couriers Please who we find to be dependable and efficient.
Via Express Post
Express Post will get your order to you quicker than regular services, but it does not mean that it will leave SPT Headquarters faster. For Express Post service, we offer a flat shipping rate of $25.50 to all our customers Australia wide for all orders except Banquet Tables or Chill Tables . When ordering with Express Post, we use Australia Post for delivery. If you aren’t at home when Australia Post arrives to deliver your parcel, they will leave it if they deem there to be a safe place to do so. They will also take a photo as proof of where the parcel was left.
If there is no safe place to leave the parcel, they will leave a card in the letterbox and take the parcel to the closest Post Office for you to collect at your convenience.
My order has been shipped but it has not arrived?
We hate it when your order doesn’t arrive quickly and will do all we can to help to chase it up.
If you have not received your order within 14 days of it receiving your dispatch notification, please let us know and we will lodge inquiries with the delivery company to work out where it is.
We will always to our utmost to ensure that you receive your order in a fast and efficient fashion, as without you, our client, we have no business. However, we will not be held liable for any loss, stress or damage caused by the late delivery of parcels or of a parcel not arriving. .
If we know that a product that you have ordered may be delayed, we will contact you to advise you of the status using the email address that you supplied for the order.
All orders are sent using Australia Post e-parcel service or a courier of our choice should that be necessary.
There is something missing from my order or an item has been damaged!
Our quality control and packing team are super efficient, but occasionally we can miss something. If there is an item missing from your order or something doesn’t look quite right to you, please advise us within 5 days of receiving your order.
Once a delivery has taken place, Summer Picnic Tables will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your goods. If however, in the unlikely event, that your order arrived in an unsatisfactory condition please email us within 5 days of receipt and let us know what the issue is. Please include photos to help us to understand the problem – gaynor@lalucie.com.au.
We will then begin formalities so that a decision can be made by us whether a replacement item will be sent.
It is also at our discretion to request that the damaged goods be returned to our head office prior to a replacement being sent out. If this damage is deemed to be due to freight handling, then Australia Post (or the courier) may be responsible for this and Summer Picnic Tables cannot be held liable.
We will always work with you to attempt to find a satisfactory outcome for all.

We love hearing what our customers think of our products. We put a lot of time and attention into each one, and your opinion matters to us. Your feedback helps us continually improve, and helps others to know and trust our products.

How do I care for my portable picnic tables?
Our team varnishes each picnic table twice to protect it and ensure that, when cared for, it will have a long, functional life. To care for your portable picnic table properly we suggest you do the following.
- Wipe it down with a damp cloth after each use.
- Store away from moisture and extreme heat.
- Do not sit or stand on your table.
- Do not place any hot items directly on your table, as it could damage the surface.
- Keep fingers away from the hinge on the folding legs.
- Your portable picnic table is great for all kinds of adventures, but should not be submerged in water.
What payment options are available?
Please note that Summer Picnic Tables is the trade name of La Lucie Pty Ltd. The transaction on your credit card or bank statement will show La Lucie Pty Ltd. You can arrange payment for your Summer Picnic Table via the following methods:

Is a bucket included with the Banquet and Chill tables?
Yes, each of our Banquet and Chill tables, including Design Your Own versions, come with a bucket to keep you drinks cold.
Is my picnic table easily portable?
We’ve designed each of our Summer Picnic Tables with easy portability in mind. In fact, our tables are the original portable picnic tables. To that end, we’ve created legs that fold neatly away, and each has as a small handhold making it easy to grab and go. They’re also lightweight but incredibly sturdy, and most are small enough to fit inside a picnic bag or backpack.
Do you use magnets in your design?
No, after extensive testing we opted not to feature magnets in our range. Instead, we designed the legs to click or fold into place mechanically, firmly and safely, without the concern of magnet use or fails.
Do you have contactless delivery?
Each of our delivery services, Fastway, Couriers Please and Australia Post have contactless delivery procedures in place, which include leaving deliveries without a signature.
I live locally. Can I pick up my order?
Yes, you can. Because our portable picnic tables are lightweight and compact, they’re easy for anyone to carry away. We are based at Coombabah, which is the northern end of the Gold Coast. Please call us on 0407 763 385 to arrange a convenient time to pick up your order.
